Child Caregiver - Private Home in Toronto, ON

This full-time, permanent position offers the opportunity to work closely with children in a nurturing home environment, ensuring their safety, well-being, and development.
Location: Yonge/Eglinton, Toronto, ON, M4R 1J6
Salary: $19.00 per hour | 40 hours per week
Employment Type: Permanent, Full-Time
Work Schedule: Day shifts, mornings
Start Date: Immediate availability
Key Responsibilities
As a child caregiver, you will:
- Household Management: Take full responsibility for the household in the absence of parents.
- Childcare Duties: Bathe, dress, and feed infants and children, ensuring their daily needs are met.
- Discipline: Implement discipline strategies as requested by the parents to guide and support the children’s behavior.
- Education & Social Development: Instruct children in personal hygiene and foster their social development through structured activities.
- Safety & Health: Maintain a safe, healthy, and supportive environment within the home.
- Activity Planning: Organize engaging activities such as games and outings to promote the children’s physical and mental well-being.
- Meal Preparation: Prepare and serve nutritious meals tailored to the children’s dietary needs.
- Emotional Support: Tend to the emotional well-being of the children, providing comfort and care as needed.
Qualifications
Education:
- Secondary (high) school graduation certificate required.
Experience:
- 1 to 2 years of experience in child care.
Languages:
- Fluent in English.
Work Environment:
- Non-smoking and scent-free home.
- Work must be performed on-site at the employer’s home.
Certifications:
- Emergency Child Care First Aid and CPR certification required.
